Durch Zufall erwecken in dem 300-Seelen-Kaff Gold Lick vier Teenager den chinesischen Dämon Guan-di zum Leben und bezahlen dies mit Ausnahme von Jeff direkt mit dem Tod. Als auch weitere Dorfbewohner Guan-di zum Opfer fallen, kommt dem Campbell-Fan Jeff die rettende Idee: Seine Ikone soll den Dämon besiegen. Und so entführt er kurzerhand Bruce Campbell, der gerade in den Dreharbeiten der üblen Trashgranate „Cave Alien 2“ steckt.
